You Have a Choice to Make

You have a choice to make in this world, actually lots of choices to make. Isn't God so good that He gives us our own free will?

Who do you serve? Is it God? Is it man/yourself? Is it your job/career? Is it your husband/wife? God is so good to give us the free will to choose for ourselves who we serve in this lifetime.

I choose God and do my best to serve Him in all I do. That can get a bit difficult when worldly influences are smacking you in the face. It is even more difficult when those influences infect your family.

When things are difficult and the world is crashing in you have a choice to make. Do you choose to go with the Truth, which is the Bible, or do you choose to go with your husband, your job, or even yourself?

The choices you make today can affect your life and the lives of others. You may not notice right away how that choice is affecting others, but it could be either good or bad.

God created each and every one of us beautiful and unique in our own way. He breathed us into being and loves each and every one of us. We have God's love because He is love. He created us in His image(Genesis 1:27), so we also are love.

Read 1 Corinthians chapter 13 as it is written, then read it a second time and every place you see the word love, replace it with God. Then read it a third time, replacing the word love with your own name.

I heard this yesterday in church, and have never thought of reading it like that. And it is truth, is that not great?

Wow, isn't that beautiful?! You have a choice to make, choose love!

Ingredients To Avoid for Safe Skin Care

• Petrolateum - is derived from petroleum (gas) , can you say ewww
• Propolyene Gycol - 'industrial anti-freeze' and the major ingredient in brake and hydraulic fluid. Even bigger ewww!

Isn't it amazing what goes into some of the products you apply to your skin? Did you know that your body will absorb 5 pounds of chemicals from skin care and make-up per year. Whew, never thought of it like that.

According to Dr. Joseph Mercola, who is an osteopathic physician: "putting chemicals on your skin is far worse that ingesting them, because when you eat something the enzymes in your saliva and stomach help break it down and flush it out of your body.

Piano Keyboard Lessons at 45!!

In a previous post I mentioned I am living one of my dreams by taking piano keyboard lessons, and I am going to post on my progress every so often. It is kinda funny that I went right back to the being nervous around the teacher thing.

I've been at the piano keyboard lessons for approximately 1 month thus far, and Chris, my teacher stated it helps that I have played instruments in my past and have a working knowledge of the piano. He said playing an instrument is like riding a bicycle.

Yeah right, I'm not so sure I could even get my mouth right to play a tenor saxaphone again (that was my instrument through high school).

I am very critical of myself, and don't feel I am doing well yet at the piano keyboard lessons, but Chris said I'm doing ok. I am having to learn how to read music all over again. See what happens when your almost 45, memories don't come back so easy.

I would never have thought I would be nervous around Chris, who is also a friend, but when I am at my lessons I get all discombobulated (my own word, I know, not proper english). It is almost bringing back memories from when I was a student in high school.

When I practice here at home, I think I am doing ok, then when it is lesson time I flub. I am learning to play simple songs like Jesus Loves Me, and God is so Good. Doing the melodies only I can do ok, but then add the harmony and hmm, well, my left hand does not want to be doing something different than my right hand it seems.

I am learning 'fingercizes' to build up the strength in my fingers, and to get my left hand to cooperate. Getting my left hand to work it getting easier as I do these 'fingercizes', and I am not looking at the piano keyboard as much.

Chris has told me it does get easier with practice, so I am off to practice the piano keyboard lesson I had last night.

Get Moisturized With L'Bri for a Naturally Beautiful You

Did you know when your skin is moisturized it reveals an even more naturally beautiful you? There are those of you with a certain skin type who don't believe their skin needs to be moisturized. (you know who I'm talking to here)

Here is a story of two prunes, to show you how L'Bri aloe based moisturizers will work on your skin.

This first prune was kept in a container of mineral oil, which is one of the most widely found ingredients in over-the-counter moisturizers. Notice how heavy it looks and wrinkled too.

This is what will happen to your skin over time when using products that are heavy on oils or waxes. The mineral oil suffocated and weighed down the skin of this poor little prune.

Moisturized skin helps to fight off the aging process.

Now take a look at this second prune: this prune was kept in a container of L'Bri's aloe vera barbadensis. Do you see a big difference?

This second prune looks light and plump, almost like a plum again. Do you want your skin to look like the first or the second prune? Using L'Bri moisturizers will create the same effect on your complexion for an even more naturally beautiful you.
